FUTURE CAREER PROFESSIONALS - MEDICINE
Course Information
The Future Career Professionals – Medicine course is ideal for students who are interested in medicine and science and wish to pursue a career in these fields. The course aims to prepare students for a future career in medicine and science.
The course combines classroom tuition, field trips and practical laboratory work, so students can explore a wide range of topics such as viruses, microscopy, cell biology and pharmacokinetics.
Activities
Through practical lessons and projects, such as the process of cytology, students develop practical and transferrable skills, including problem solving, taking initiative, research and leadership skills, which they can utilise in their future medical and science training. Students also enjoy medical-focused field trips, such as a visit to the ‘MED-Lab’ (in association with Almac Group) to discover the fascinating world of pharmaceutical and biomedical science as they take an interactive journey through the body and learn how drugs are developed.

Coronavirus Safety
AISR is constantly monitoring the UK government's advice and our programmes will only run if government advice allows it. Please refer to our full Covid-19 measures using this link: CORONAVIRUS STATEMENT.
At the time of writing, we are confident that on campus courses can run with social distancing measures in place for students travelling from countries designated by the UK government as part of the travel corridor exemption scheme.
Please note that students travel at their own risk. AISR will follow all guidelines outlined in our coronavirus statement. However, this is best practice and at best can only minimise the risk of contracting Covid-19. It does not eradicate the risk entirely.
